I finally had a chance this weekend to play with theĀ Lensbaby that I received for my birthday this summer. As well as making interesting photographs of flowers etc, I find that it is quite good at making abstract, things that are mundane.
Here’s my first attempt at what I hope will develop into a series. Can you guess what it is?

A bamboo mat with a chopstick on it?
Sorry Craig, not a bamboo mat with a chopstick on it.
You know what my immediate response was because I told you in the office! It wasn’t so far away from Craig’s thought.
How about it’s the top of the folders in a filing cabinet? The things flying off at the top left have me confused though but suggest that pencil-like thing was dropped deliberately.
I’m sure I’m wrong but this is fun! I’m going to ask for clues next.
Tom
Sorry Tom, not folders in a filing cabinet!
Each clue costs one Jelly Bean…
Is the image of blinds with the plastic|glass rod? In any case, the thing in background looks like some type of sewn mat.
Sorry Anu, not blinds or a sewn mat.
Yeah the Lensbaby lenses rock. Great for finding new creativity in your photography. Plus, if they’re accidentally out of focus, you can chalk it up to the lens and art!
yeah – a great way to hide your mistakes. I haven’t had much time with the lensbabies yet, but that will come.
My guess is that it is a straw on a corrugated carton
Good try, but incorrect. Your answer is close, but your scale is all wrong.
…. then I owe you a jelly bean!
…a chocolate (mint) matchstick perhaps????
